Celebrating 50 years of Bangladeshi Independence

Mrs. Badrun Pasha explains to the BBC how the Bangladesh Women's Association was critical the activism and movement for the independence of Bangladesh in 1971. The Bangladesh Women's Association then continued its work to help women settle in Birmingham and acheive their potential.

 

50 years of the Independence of Bangladesh was celebrated in Birmingham with a photo exhibition in the town centre by Legacy WM and Freedom 50.
